2nd Trimester
ACTIVITY: Make your OWN Mystery Game Project
Your child will be working on creating their OWN Mystery Game. I have all the intention to finish the project during computer class, however, I MIGHT send the draft with them so you can help your child in finishing writing their clues for their mystery game project. Here's a sample for your reference.

Background: Grab your monster gear and track an ugly monster down.
Clue #1: He was spotted at the library.
Clue #2: (in the library) We tried to catch him, but he got away. Last I heard he was tearing open packages at the post office.
Clue #3: (in the post office) He made a mess here. Then, he took off for the school. He’s in the office, terrorizing the principal.
Clue #4: (at school) I think you’ve tracked down the monster. Time to guess!

3rd Trimester
CODING: Course 2 (continued on from last year)
This course are for students who can read and have no prior programming experience. In this course students will create programs to solve problems and develop interactive games or stories they can share. They will learn: - Conditionals - Algorithms - Binary code - Debugging - Societal impacts of computing. CODING: Course 3
Course 3 is designed for students who have taken Course 2. Students will delve deeper into programming topics introduced in previous courses to flexible solutions to more complex problems. By the end of this course, students create interactive stories and games they can share with anyone. They will learn: - Problem decomposition - Functions - Nested loops and conditional - Digital citizenship - Internet transmission methods |
